Dock Committee
Welcome to the Dock Committee page.
Here you can find general information, forthcoming events, photographs and
news articles about the Dock Committee.

Introduction
The Dock Committee organises and maintains the Club mooring facilites at Lytham.
These comprise of drying pontoon berths, hard standing areas, slipway, motorised
winches and tow-tractors catering for craft up to 35 feet overall length together
with toilet and shower, covered work area
and welfare facilities.
The work to maintain the Dock facilities is organised by the Committee and carried
out by regular working parties staffed by the berth holders and crews. This helps
to keep the cost of the berths very reasonable and also helps to introduce new
members into the club as there is much interaction at the working parties which
helps to foster the club atmosphere.
From time to time after selected sailing
events a barbeque is held at the dock at which at which dinghy and cruising sailing
members can get together after
a bracing sail for a hot bite to eat and a sociable drink.
