Fabric Committee
Welcome to the Fabric Committee page.
Here you can find general information, forthcoming events, photographs and news articles about the Fabric Committee.

Introduction
The Fabric Committee at Ribble Cruising Club consists
of six Club Members who meet once a month to maintain the Clubhouse and ensure
all services are in working condition. This includes the lighting, heating,
plumbing, and the pumps which are in the basement for the showers and excessive
rain water. We also carry out any general repairs on the building both internally
and externally as required.
During the last eighteen months we have overseen an ongoing program of refurbishment
to the Clubhouse. This has included renovations of both gents and ladies toilets
and the installation of a disabled toilet off the Clubroom. The Clubroom has
been redecorated and a new carpet and wooden dance floor fitted. New and refurbished
chairs and tables complement the new décor. We can cater for seventy
people at a sit down meal. The galley has been refurbished with a new floor,
work tops, cupboards, sink etc. A new office has been created between the galley
and disabled toilet. The dinghy sailors of the sailing committee also refurbished
the gents and ladies changing rooms in the spring this year.
Externally the Clubhouse has been re- painted and the paths re-surfaced. The
lounge bar and hallway are the next items to be refurbished in the overall
program.
