CARDINAL and SPECIAL MARKER BUOYS are marking the site, see chartlet attached, and as this area is still recognised as a construction site all mariners are requested and advised to mark the positions of these Buoys on their charts/plotters and unless there are matters relating to their own safety or the safety of others they should keep clear and not enter the buoyed area until the Wind Farm has been fully commissioned with the Buoys removed and you have been informed.

CTV’s and other service craft will continue to transit between the shore base at the Camell Laird Shipyard and the Wind Farm site ferrying out technicians engaged on monitoring and testing work until final commissioning.

    WAVE RIDER BUOYS

The North WAVE RIDER BUOY is on station to support the operational phase of the Wind Farm

Attached for information is a small chartlet which shows the Wind Farm Site and the Buoy positions

    BETWEEN TURBINE POSITIONS A02  –  C02

The Cable Lay Vessel ‘WILLEM de VLAMINGH’ is on site to continue the work of replacing the 1900m long section of subsea Infield (or Inter-Array) Cable between Turbine positions A02 and C02.

‘WILLEM de VLAMINGH’ will be assisted and supported by ‘SEACAT DEFENDER’ and one other CTV in an operation that is expected to last for 21 days, depending on weather and conditions.

A wide berth, minimum 500 meters, is requested around the vessel at all times while on site and any passing vessels are requested and advised to stay clear of the area between the two mentioned Turbine positions.

A listening watch will be kept on VHF Channels 16 & 14 as well as monitoring VHF Channel 12 for Mersey VTS and ‘WILLEM de VLAMINGH’, or accompanying support vessel, can be contacted for information relating to vessel movement only.
