    About the Dock Committee

The Dock Committee organises and maintains the Club mooring facilites at Lytham.

These comprise of drying pontoon berths, hard standing areas, slipway, motorised winches and tow-tractors catering for craft up to 35 feet overall length together with toilet and shower, covered work area and welfare facilities.

The work to maintain the Dock facilities is organised by the Committee and carried out by regular working parties staffed by the berth holders and crews. This helps to keep the cost of the berths very reasonable and also helps to introduce new members into the club as there is much interaction at the working parties which helps to foster the club atmosphere.

From time to time after selected sailing events a barbeque is held at the dock at which at which dinghy and cruising sailing members can get together after a bracing sail for a hot bite to eat and a sociable drink.

For any queries about the dock please contact the dock chairman, details are on the contacts page of the website. There is presently a waiting list for cruiser berths for new members of up to a year.

For member’s berthing enquiries please contact the berthing officer, details are in the handbook.
