The RYA North West Cruiser Forum and Ribble Cruising Club have issued an invitation to enthusiasts to the last Tuesday Talk of the season.
Oliver Shaw from Liverpool SC will talk about 'Cruising in a Trailer Sailer'.
Oliver has cruised extensively in his 20ft Gaff rigged trailer-sailer, both coastal and occasionally offshore. His cruises include North & South Devon, Pembrokeshire, North Wales, Isle of Man, & Northumberland, and even into the Ribble en route to Cumbria.
He will explain the ‘ins & outs’ of trailer-sailing on Tuesday 30 January 2018 at 8.00pm.

On Sunday 29th October Fairhaven Lake will be hosting an Open day to showcase the range of sport and leisure activities that are available in the park.

You can join the clubs based at the lake to try your hand at sailing, bowling, tennis and much more. The event runs from 10.30am to 3.30pm with most of the activities on a drop in, have a go basis. All the activities are free so the whole family can take to the water, see the model boat or look at getting healthy.

A full itinerary of the day can be found on the map below. The Fairhaven HLF restoration project team will also be on hand to give updates on the project and will be collecting feedback on what activities you would like to see at Fairhaven. ... See more
